Live - Solar Eclipse: Check when and where the rare celestial event will be visible - Tonight, August 12, 2026, this will the second Surya Grahan of the year, which is a rare celestial event. People are going to experience the second solar eclipse tonight after experiencing the first Surya and Chandra Grahan in February and March. This is an incredible event for all the astronomers and sky watchers, who are always eager to record this beautiful moment in their DSLRs.

On Wednesday, August 12, 2026, there will be a solar eclipse when the Moon moves between the Sun and the Earth, totally obscuring the Sun for anyone in the line of totality. NASA reports that Greenland, Iceland, northern Russia, the Atlantic Ocean, Spain, and a little portion of Portugal will be able to see the eclipse. Eclipses are traditionally linked to the shadow planets Rahu and Ketu, and they are believed to be moments when buried problems may arise.

Vedic astrology states that abrupt changes in one's work, money, prestige, confidence, and personal orientation can be caused by the Grahan energy. This solar eclipse will occur this evening. Under the Ashlesha Nakshatra, this solar eclipse will take place under the sign of Cancer. It is advised that you avoid meaningless arguments, gossip, angry letters, and hasty comments.

This time, Sutak kaal will not be applicable as India will not be able to see the solar eclipse on August 12, 2026. The amount of the eclipse you may view varies depending on where you reside, so if you live out of India, check your own city.
