His company pension people say I may not be eligible for any of his pension as I am more than 15 years younger, and it 'depends' on the situation after he dies. It's an awful situation to be in, as I was always the breadwinner for all our years together, and used property as my pension pot. However, when he became ill that money had to be dipped into and nearly 20 years on there is not that much left. We also now rent.

While it looks almost indistinguishable from the combustion-engined Range Rover, it is underpinned by an 800-volt architecture, industry-leading battery technology and two powerful electric motors. The result? Performance to match the V8 petrol Rangie, including the same 900mm wading depth and off-road capability, but with even greater refinement and well over 300 mile of real-world driving range. Daily Mail and This is Money motoring editor Rob Hull spent a brief spell at the wheel of a prototype to get an early impression of what a battery-powered Range Rover really feels like.
